Space Station

  • In space, astronauts live in a floating home called the International Space Station.
  • They do experiments to learn about space.
  • Six astronauts can live in the Space Station.
  • Astronauts do experiments in the science laboratories.
  • The Station travels in circles (orbits) around.
  • On Earth, scientists talk to the Station crew by radio. They check that the Station is working properly. 

 

Solar system/ stars

  • stars are made out of four steps.
  1. Stars begin as clouds of gas and dust swirling through space.
  2. As the clouds gets thicker, the gases get hotter.
  3. Parts of cloud becomes a ball of glowing gas.
  4. A star is born.

  • Mercury (the smallest planet) made out of rock, with a lot of craters
  • Venus the hottest planet in the solar system and the same size as earth.
  • Earth the only planet with life forms on it.
  • Mars is has the closest days to earth, Mars has bacteria on it 🤔.
  • Jupiter the biggest planet in the solar system and also it is a gas planet.
  • Saturn is also a gas planet witch has a ring of rock around it.
  • Gases swirling around Uranus and Neptune (planets) make these two planets look green and blue.
